Military veterans have a very low unemployment rate in recent years, 3.9 percent as a group.
However, a 2016 U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation study finds 44 percent of veterans leave their first post-military jobs within a year, and an additional 15 percent leave by their two-year work anniversary.
